The parish council does not agree with any of the names. It believes that these names have no relevance to the rural area. It does not wish to see mews and drives and believe that tree names would be more appropriate than the birds which are used in suburban areas. The crafty lot: A group of people known as the Teas’n Craftees are dreaming up fresh ideas and making some items for the stalls at church-related events. They meet monthly and enjoy these sessions where teas and coffees flow freely with the next gathering on Monday, July 25 at 3pm in South Cottage. Call Dawn (details above). Flowers and art: The village’s annual Flower and Art Festival will take place from Saturday to Monday, August 27-29. Anyone with art exhibits to sell will be welcome to take them along.
