Tuesday and Thursday, picking up from the Spires at 10am and going directly to the Shepway surgery. It will then return to the Spires and travel onwards to the Grove Green Surgery. The return service will drop passengers at their front door. The surgery has agreed to link appointmen­ts to fit around the service. The mini bus will be reviewed after two months, with its future depending on capacity and sufficient demand. Police report: Pennine Way, criminal damage to vehicle on December 31 and a broken window at Longham Copse on January 5. There were also four calls for obstructio­n (Pennine Way/Mallards Way). KCC was proceeding with proposed routes for consultati­on on a Leeds/ Langley relief road. A schematic had been provided by MBC which shows the proposed play equipment for Mallways Way play area. Date of next meeting: Tuesday, March 7 at 8pm in the community centre. Anitique and Collectabl­es Fair: Stalls are available (indoors and outdoors) for the fair to be held on Sunday, April 2 at the community centre. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 for a child or a family ticket £15 (two adults and three children) and are available from Daphne on 01622 728167 or Pauline on 812296. Parish council: The next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 7 at 7.15pm in the Old School Hall, Lower Road. If needed, the planning committee will meet at 6.45pm prior to the main meeting. Farmers market: The next market is on Sunday, March 5 from 10am1pm in the Old School Hall, Lower Road. In addition to the usual assortment of stalls selling a wide range of food and crafts, there will be a new one, Hedgehog Garden Ornaments, selling hand produced garden features. The first farmers’ market of 2017 was well supported and it would be wonderful if this could be sustained throughout the year. The Heart of Kent Hospice was delighted to recruit several new supporters in addition to selling its draw tickets. Litter picking: There will be a litter pick on Sunday, March 5 from 10am-noon. Coffee and cakes: The monthly coffee and chat session in Grafty Green Village Hall will resume on Wednesday, March 8 from 10.30amnoon. Go along and enjoy home made cakes. Sunday worship: There will be a service of Holy Communion in St Nicholas church Boughton Malherbe on Sunday, March 5 at 9.30am. Tuesday prayers will be on March 7 at 9.30am. Last chance: Saturday, March 4 is the last day for buying tickets (£15) for the Mexican evening in Grafty Green Village Hall on Saturday, March 11. Tickets are on sale in the village shop. Bumblebee conservati­on: Nikki Gammons will speak about Bumblebees at the next meeting of Grafty Green Gardening Club on Tuesday, March 7 in the village hall at 7.30pm.
