An anonymous letter-writer has been leaving sexually explicit notes outside a woman’s home for six months.

The victim, aged in her 60s, has received six letters outside her Ditton home and after calling in police the force is hunting for the stranger behind them.

Detectives have now released an image of a man they believe could help with their investigations and stated he is thought to be aged in his 50s.

The latest sexually suggestive communication was left on January 20 and was found by the woman while she was putting out rubbish at the front of her house.

The missive was written in black ink on a scrap piece of paper and had been left in her garden.

A police spokesman said there were no similar incidents in the area and revealed no other vic- tims have been targeted.

House to house inquiries are being carried out and officers are also checking for possible CCTV.

Forensic investigators could also be consulted should any traces of DNA be found on any of the notes kept by the victim.

Sergeant Mark Ginsberg said: “These letters have caused a considerable amount of distress and anxiety to the victim. We are continuing to fully investigate the circumstances, to identify the person responsible and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.”
