Cop allegedly used force computers to go on porn sites
A Kent Police inspector faces a misconduct panel accused of using work computers to access porn sites for the second time in eight years.
The officer, who has not been named by the force, is alleged to have accessed pornographic material more than 2,000 times in nine months.
He searched for naked pictures of Diora Baird, an American actress, and images of Michaela Tabb, a Scottish snooker and pool referee.
He is alleged to have visited a swinging website and a site hosting pornographic videos from work between October 2015 and last June despite there being no policing need for him to do so.
In 2008 he was issued formal written advice for using the force’s computers to access sexual material.

earns £41,000 a year and made representations to the force as to why he should not be identified, faces 19 allegations.
He is also accused of going on social media and sports sites, watching football, sending personal emails and printing out personal material while on duty.
Kent Police say the officer’s alleged actions “took a significant period of time both on duty and, on some occasions, off it and would have distracted you from your duties.”
It adds if it is proved his actions breached four policy clauses – relating to respect, conduct, responsibilities and orders – they would amount to gross misconduct and a full range of sanctions, including dismissal, would be available.
The pages were accessed from a shared office and would have taken a significant amount of time out of the officer’s day.
The inspector will face a misconduct panel at Kent Police headquarters, in Sutton Road, Maidstone, on Thursday and Friday.
