Having led 2- 0 inside 12 minutes through Lucien Scarlat and Peter Williams, the Bears found themselves a goal down with four minutes to go.
Backed by the majority of the 383 in attendance, Sheppey fought back to lead with goals from Richard Atkins, Lee Friend and Joseph Fornah.
But Bearsted weren’t finished and Williams netted his second to ensure it finished 3-3.
That followed another good result on Saturday, when Bears won 3-1 at home to Tunbridge Wells.
Reece Collins broke the deadlock on six minutes and when he was fouled, Michael Holliday scored from the spot.
Brad Porter halved the deficit early in the second half but Williams set up Scarlat two minutes from time.
