Borough Cllr Steve Munford spoke regarding his decision not to defend the appeal for the development of the site at Woodcut Farm, Hollingbourne, after the planning committee refused the application last year. Cllr Munford’s reasons for this were mainly due to the legal advice which suggested that MBC would lose the appeal, and the costs involved in appealing (indicated at £350450k). Cllr McLoughlin thanked Cllr Munford for the work he does as borough councillor. Cllr Munford agreed to investigate why the borough council took so long to remove the flytipping from the front of the playing field. This was eventually removed by Cllr Forknall.
