A hair transplant clinic is becoming the company of choice for celebrities after bagging another high profile star.

Former X Factor contestant and I’m A Celebrity... runner-up Jake Quickenden paid £5,000 for a treatment for his receding hairline after having a consultation at KSL Hair in Maidstone.

Mr Quickenden joins a list of celebs and sports stars who have used the clinic, including Wales midfielder Joe Ledley and TOWIE star Michael Hassini.

The Station Road centre, owned by former Maidstone United manager Lloyd Hume, has also been linked in national media with Gareth Bale – a close friend of ex-Crystal Palace player Ledley.

The clinic, which is CQC registered, is carrying out about 20 procedures a month.

It has also seen an increase in the number of inquiries from women and is treating one or two a month, compared to about one every three months at its Glasgow clinic.

Mr Hume said: “We are the hair transplant company of choice for celebrities.”

Mr Quickenden, who twice appeared on The X Factor in 2012 and 2014, has been in a relationship with four-time World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty’s daughter Danielle since the motorcycle legend beat him to become King of the Jungle in December 2014.

His visit comes weeks after KSL invested a five-figure sum in Rochester United Football Club to become its main shirt sponsor.

Mr Hume has become chairman of the club, managed by his brother Matt, and has provided a playing budget for the next two seasons. He said: “We work with a lot of high-profile footballers and reinvesting that into the grass roots of the game.

“It was on the brink of whether it could survive. They have done really well to get to their level but have been struggling to get supporters and were going backwards. We have invested in the club so we can push it forward. We have secured their future for the next two seasons.”
