Judds revival peters out

-

Tonbridge went down 37-26 against London Irish Wild Geese in National 2 South on Saturday. They started too slowly, their kicking often handed the ball to their opponents and their tackling was found wanting. On the plus side, recent problems in the line-out were overcome and the scrum functioned well. Tonbridge trailed 20-10 at half-time, scrum-half Charlie Edwards wriggling through for a try and Liam Prescott kicking the conversion and a penalty. Judds made a good start to the second half, Will Colderick’s break leading to a second try for Edwards, converted by Nathan Holmes, who then squared the match with a penalty. Holmes added two more penalties but Irish deservedly won for the first time this season thanks to a penalty and two converted tries. Tonbridge host Redingensians on Saturday.
