Gift to help grieving parents

-

Funeral parlour staff presented equipment to a charity to help grieving parents. Doves Funerals raised more than £2,000 to buy a cuddle cot for Demelza Hospice Care for Children in Bobbing. The temperature-controlled bed gives families who have lost loved ones the option to bring their child home for up to a week after they have died. Doves, in Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Staplehurst, Larkfield and Ashford, helped raise the cash to buy it through a fundraising day. Anisa Wren, funeral administrator, said: “We opened our doors to offer breakfast rolls, cakes, tea and coffee. “Our funeral crew washed cars for donations and we held a raffle with some very generous gifts from local businesses, staff and general public. We were extremely pleased with the day.” from 3pm-4.15pm during term time.
