Valence hit the bar early on but were two down before Kirkham set up McVarish before half-time.
Stanford levelled, only for Worthing to go back in front from a short corner but Kirkham rescued a point with a penalty stroke.

Two up at half-time, their superior fitness, positional play and teamwork paid off. Man-of-the-match Dylan Queen and Rob Cockayne scored twice, with Eion Robinson, Alex Stanford and James Abraham also on target.
