Schools’ European exchange of ideas
Students from three different countries came together to put their plans for a sustainable town on display.
Valley Park School, together with Graf Anton Gunther Schule in Oldenberg, Germany and the Praedinius Gymnasium in Groningen in the Netherlands have been taking part in an exchange programme.
More than 70 students swapped schools and tried out life abroad, collaborating on projects including engineering the European town of the future.
Maidstone mayor Malcolm Greer saw the culmination of the schools’ efforts at a conference held by Valley Park School on its Huntsman Lane site.
Head teacher Vic Ash- down said: “It was fantastic to see the students’ outcomes as well as the creation of new and long lasting friendships with our European partners.
“As a result of the success of this project,, we intend to run another project in September 2019.”
