Bounce along at charity race
A health charity and high street sandwich maker are teaming up to bring back a popular park run later this year.
Heart Research UK and Subway are already in the final stages of setting up the Subway Helping Hearts Family 5k fun run to take part at Mote Park on Sunday, September 16.
The 5k series takes a twist on the traditional 5k run by including the “Field of Fresh” challenge for the last 500m before the finish line - a giant inflatable course.
Those not wishing to bounce through to the finish line can follow the traditional 5k route which saw 14,600 amateur runners take part across the UK last year.
Children under 12 years old can participate for free with everyone else paying just £8 online if they register in advance or £10 on the day.
All the sponsorship money raised by runners goes towards the Heart Research UK and Subway Healthy Heart Grant scheme.
