Tributes to teen with ‘heart of gold’ who died in bridge fall

-

Tributes have been paid to a much loved teenager who died after falling onto the M20.

Flowers have since been left on the Lunsford Lane bridge in Larkfield in tribute to Paul Bradshaw, following the tragedy on Saturday, April 7. It is thought the 18-year-old fell from the bridge before being hit by a Tesco lorry, at 10.50pm near junction four for Leybourne.

Close friend Charlie Duffield paid tribute to Paul, from East Malling, saying: “I am missing you like crazy. You have meant the entire world to me, since the day I had met you. You would always put others before yourself, and you would do anything for anyone.

“This hurts, I know you said you would be there in my heart, helping me through the difficult times but I would much rather you be here with me. I love you so much Paul, and thank you for everything you have done.

“You had a heart of gold, and was just amazing in every single way.

“I bet you’re now up there singing your favourite song, Hello by Adele, out of tune like you use to do here.

“You had a beautiful person- ality; funny, kind, caring, and honest. You were good looking, you were fun to be around. I feel honoured that we spent your last day together.

“I remember every single memory and days we had together. It really sucks you had to go, as you deserved so much in life, and had full potential. Love you loads Paul, rest in peace and I’ll come visit you as much as I can.”

Another message, left at the bridge, read: “Dear Paul, always remember the happy times.”

Tesco says it is helping police with inquiries after the tragic incident.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious, but continue to appeal for the public’s help in a bid to find out exactly what happened.

Witnesses should call the appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting AW/JH/52/18 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk. Kent Police is urging victims of stalking to come forward as they support a national campaign to raise awareness.

This year, National Stalking Awareness week, launched on Monday, is aiming to increase reporting levels, get victims talking about their experiences, and to access support from police and other organisations.

Figures reveal one in five women and one in 12 men have been stalked in their lifetime while almost three quarters of victims don’t report the crime until the 100th incident.

Det Ch Insp Tracy Anstis of Kent Police’s public protection unit said: “It can be incredibly frightening especially as stalking takes many forms and does not necessarily involve any physical contact. Kent Police takes stalking extremely seriously and would encourage anyone suffering this behaviour to report it to us. We work with a number of other organisations to offer support to victims so they can feel safe again.” A teenager was caught filming a young boy in the toilets of Fremlin Walk shopping centre in Maidstone.

Police officers were called last Wednesday afternoon and arrested 19-year-old Daniel Walden of Tonbridge Road, Maidstone. At Medway Magistrates’ Court he admitted voyeurism and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, May 11. He is also accused of breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
