Something wicked this way comes
A spook- tacular Halloween pumpkin hunt is set to take place in West Malling this half-term.
The charity trail, on Friday, October 26, has been organised by Demelza children’s hospice based in Bobbing near Sittingbourne.
Pumpkins will be on display in various spots around the town, and children will be required to search for them, while picking up treats from shops and businesses along the way.
Youngsters are encouraged to wear fancy dress and those with the best costumes will get a prize.
A Merlin theme park family pass, donated by Active Interna- tional, will also be up for grabs for the overall winner.
Hunts set off from St Mary’s Abbey, Swan Street, at 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm and 3.15pm.
They take approximately one hour to complete and are open to children aged three to 11. Those taking part will be given their own pumpkin passport to get stamped.
Tamsyn Clark, Demelza’s director of fundraising and marketing, said: “The hunt has taken place in Chislehurst for the past four years and has been a great success, so we wanted to introduce this to new locations across the South East.”
It costs £5 per child. Adults can go along for free. For more visit tinyurl.com/demelzahunt
