Disabled boy’s wheelchair gift
A dance school which helps disabled youngsters get active has received a boost after one of its pupils was supplied with a new wheelchair.
Stopgap Dance Company, which teaches a youth partnership group in Tunbridge Wells, works to integrate both disabled and able bodied people through dance.
Devon Hills, 10, received the equipment from the Dance Aid charity last month and joined his friends in showing off his moves at a class at Bishops Down Primary School.
Stopgap’s Hannah Rotchell said: “It was a brilliant day and really warming to see Devon so excited and all his friends being so supportive. We hope the chair will give him a lot more freedom in his movement, not just in terms of his dancing but in other sports like football and basketball as well.”
