The Darkness to share limelight

-

Rock band The Darkness have been lined up as one of the headline acts for next summer’s Ramblin’ Man Fair in Maidstone.

The group, who burst onto the scene 18 years ago with I Believe In a Thing Called Love, will close the main stage on the opening night of the Mote Park festival, which runs from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21.

They join American rock legends Foreigner, already announced by organisers Spirit of Rock, who will headline the main stage on the Saturday.

Foreigner have had 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, with album sales that exceed 75 million.

With more than 40 years in the music business under their belts, their anthems include Juke Box Hero, Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded, Waiting For A Girl Like You, Feels Like The First Time, Say You Will, Long, Long Way From Home, and the worldwide No.1 I Want to Know What Love is.

Mick Jones from the band said: “We are excited to be headlining Ramblin’ Man Fair 2019 as it is such a great festival for both classic and contemporary rock.”
