Cutting IVF cycles is not the way to go
I read with much disappointment last week that health bosses are looking to cut the number of IVF cycles for couples trying to conceive.
While I have no personal investment in the process, I know there are plenty of people who have relied on it - grateful that they have had more than one chance to try and have a baby.
We all know the NHS is struggling for cash, and if we’re not going to get the level of investment it needs, they have to balance the books somehow, but I just feel to limit these poor couples’ chances of having a family is not the way to do it.
I’d be interested to know how many readers of this newspaper are set to be affected by the proposals. Ashford Road, Maidstone
