A police forensic team was called to the home of a Covid19 denier over a malicious letter which included a picture of him inside a prison wallet.

Police were called to Glebe Lane, Barming, Maidstone, where Tobe Hayden Leigh lives.

He is due is to appear in court next month after being accused of causing a nuisance at East Surrey Hospital. It is alleged he confronted staff on a critical care ward.

The letter said: “This is from all your ‘fans’ at the NHS. We finally found your home address through a contact in our local Police.”

“We see from your past records that you claim to have ADHD, you muppet! Our Phycology [sic] Department feel you have an inferiority complex, and rightly so.

“After having studied your residence for a while we note that your curtains are kept drawn, yet another sign of abnormal behaviour.”

“We all hope you get the sentence you deserve for causing distress to our hard working staff, you thoughtless, arrogant and misguided idiot.”

He called police for assistance when he saw the letter last month and he says it was opened outside his house in front of him by a police forensic team.

Mr Hayden Leigh said: “It was malicious, if someone sent this to your mother you would be disgusted.”

Enclosed in the envelope was a letter, and a Dartmoor prison wallet featuring an edited photo of Mr Leigh with the word wanted written above his head.

Police took the letter away and

added: “The enquiry was completed and no offences were disclosed.”

Mr Leigh said: “I spoke with the sergeant about it and he said it doesn’t meet the threshold for malicious contact; it’s laughable. They are “blatantly ignoring it.” He claims he is a victim of prejudice and bias.
