Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FORGE LANE, WEST PECKHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2022
To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through
traffic on part of Forge Lane, West Peckham, on or after 28th April 2022 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Stan Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The alternative route is via Mereworth Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone Road, Common Road, Matthews Lane, Forge Lane and vice versa.
GILLETTS LANE, EAST MALLING (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Gilletts Lane, East Malling, on or after 11th May 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Gilletts Lane, The Rocks
Road, Chapel Street and vice versa.
GREENFRITH DRIVE, TONBRIDGE (PROHIBI
ke an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Greenfrith Drive, Tonbridge, on or after 9th May
2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 45, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Greenfrith Drive, Pine Ridge and vice versa.
MALLING ROAD, TESTON (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2022
To allow pole inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Malling Road, Teston, on or after 26th April 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Livesey Street and Fairlawn Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Malling Road, The Street,
A26 Tonbridge Road, Red Hill and vice versa.
OLD CHURCH ROAD, BURHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Church Road, Burham, on or after 11th May 2022 for up to 3 days between the hours of 08:00 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Burham Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Burham Court Road, New
Court Road, Old Church Road and vice versa.
PHOENIX DRIVE, WATERINGBURY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow road crossing and joint bay works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order
prohibiting through traffic on part of Phoenix Drive, Wateringbury, on or after 10th May 2022 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 84, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residential access will
be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.
SHAKESPEARE ROAD, TONBRIDGE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2022
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Shakespeare Road, Tonbridge, on or after 25th April 2022 for up to 3 days between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside number 5 to
outside number 6, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Brook Street, Scott Road,
Shakespeare Road and vice versa.
THONG LANE, BOROUGH GREEN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order
prohibiting through traffic on part of Thong Lane, Borough Green, on or after 12th May 2022 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with
Quarry Hill Road and Basted Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Thong Lane, Mill Lane, Bates Hill, The Street, Borough Green Road, Dark Hill Road, Quarry Hill Road and vice versa.
TONBRIDGE LIONS TRIATHLON (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To enable the Tonbridge Lions Triathlon to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Carters Hill, Underriver, on or after 2nd May 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 07:00 and 14:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Bank Lane and Fawke Wood Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via
Mill Lane, Bank Lane, B245 London Road, Morleys Roundabout, River Hill, St Julians Road, Fawke Wood Road and vice versa.
WROTHAM HILL ROAD, WROTHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wrotham Hill Road, Wrotham, on or after 12th May 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Beech Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Wrotham Hill Road, Labour In Vain Road, A20 London Road, Gravesend Road,
Fairseat Lane and vice versa.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA BACK LANE, GOUDHURST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic
on part of Back Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 27th April 2022 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Star and Eagle Hotel. The alternative route is via Back Lane, A262 Church
Road/High Street, B2079 Balcombes Hill and vice versa.
BEECH LANE, MATFIELD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of UKPN works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beech Lane, Matfield, on or after 25th April 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed outside Far Far Away.
The alternative route is via Cryals Road, A21 Hastings
Road, Beech Lane and vice versa.
CRANBROOK ROAD, FRITTENDEN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cranbrook Road, Frittenden, on or after
28th April 2022 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Orchard.
The alternative route is via Cranbrook Road, The Street, Headcorn Road, Staplehurst Road, Frittenden Road, A229 Cranbrook Road/Knoxbridge/Rocks Hill/Camden Hill/The Common, Frittenden Road and vice versa.
FOREST ROAD, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forest Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 9th May 2022 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 21 and 37. The alternative route is via Forest Road, Warrington
Road and vice versa.
QUANTOCK CLOSE, TUNBRIDGE WELLS. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Quantock Close, Tunbridge Wells, on or after 27th April 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Sandhurst Road.
There is no alternative route but access will be given as and when safe to do so.
ROWAN CLOSE, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rowan Close, Paddock Wood, on or after 25th April 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 24.
There is no alternative route but access will be given as and when safe to do so.
STREAM LANE, HAWKHURST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of SGN works, Kent County Council has made
an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stream Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 25th April
2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside St Cuthberts Lodge. The alternative route is via Stream Lane, B2244 Hastings Road, Conghurst Lane and vice versa.
WATER LANE, HAWKHURST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of UKPN works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 26th April 2022 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Four Wents Cottage.
The alternative route is via Water Lane, A268 Rye Road, A229 Cranbrook Road/Gills Green/Hawkhurst Road and vice versa.
