ASHFORD AREA APPLEDORE ROAD, KENARDINGTON. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of works to replace a decayed pole,
Kent County Council intends to make an Order
prohibiting through traffic on part of Appledore Road, Kenardington, on or after 6th June 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Woodlands, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Appledore Road, Kenardington Road, Snargate Road, Church Lane and vice versa.
BETHERSDEN ROAD, HOTHFIELD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of new utility connection works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bethersden Road, Hothfield, on or after 26th May 2022 for up to 2 days, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed between Church Lane and Alder Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bethersden Road, Bears Lane, Etchden Road, Goldwell Lane, A28 Great Chart Bypass/Chart Road/Templer Way, A20 Maidstone Road, Station Road, School Road, The Street and vice versa.
BURNTHOUSE LANE & SHENLEY ROAD, SMARDEN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Burnthouse Lane and part of Shenley Road, Smarden,
on or after 24th May 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed.
Burnthouse Lane will be closed for the entire length. Shenley Road will be closed between Haylands Farm
and Smarden Bell Road, to the actual extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The roads will not be closed at the same time.
The alternative route for Burnthouse Lane is via The Cut, Smarden Road, A274 Headcorn Road, Bell Lane, Smarden Bell Road, Burnthouse Lane and vice versa. The alternative route for Shenley Road is via Smarden Bell Road, Bell Lane, A274 Headcorn Road/Biddenden Road, Shenley Road and vice versa.
CHART ROAD, CHILMINGTON GREEN, GREAT CHART (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of works to replace existing telecom poles, Kent County Council intends to make an Order
prohibiting through traffic on part of Chart Road, Chilmington Green, Great Chart, on or after 7th June 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Chilmington Travellers Site, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Chart Road, Bartlets Lane, Chilmington Green Road, Mock Lane and vice versa.

The road will be closed between A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road and Highfield Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

or after 8th June 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 33, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Coach Drive, Park Drive, The Street, School Road and vice versa.
COT LANE, BIDDENDEN. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of utility repair and maintenance works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Cot Lane, Biddenden, on or after 13th June 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via River Hall Lane, High Halden Road, A262 Tenterden Road, A274 North Street, Cot
Lane and vice versa.
GIGGERS GREEN ROAD, ALDINGTON. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

FIRS ROAD, WOMENSWOLD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow fibre cabling works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through
traffic on part of Firs Road, Womenswold, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Wick Lane and Forstal Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Woolage Green Road, Wick Lane, and vice versa.
GROVE FERRY HILL, UPSTREET, & GROVE FERRY ROAD, WICKHAMBREAUX (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow yellow hatching installation and footway works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30 MPH speed limit on part of Grove Ferry Hill, Upstreet, and Grove Ferry Road, Wickhambreaux, for approximately 200 metres either side of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs on site.
The restriction will be in place on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
HILLBROW AVENUE, STURRY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022
To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Hillbrow Avenue, Sturry, on or after 9th June 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via Popes Lane, Hawe Lane, Ladywood Road, River View, and vice versa.
Access for residents of Hillbrow Avenue will be maintained via River View.
LONDON ROAD, PALMARS CROSS HILL & ROUGH COMMON ROAD, CANTERBURY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND WEIGHT LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022
To allow sewer repair works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of London Road, Canterbury, on or after 12th June 2022 for up to 2 nights, between 19:00 hours and 05:00 hours, or until the works have been completed. The weight restriction on Palmars Cross Hill and Rough Common Road will be suspended. The road will be closed between the junctions of Rheims Court and Temple Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via London Road, A2050 London Road Roundabout, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, Palmars Cross Hill, Rough Common Road, A290 Whitstable Road, A290 St Thomas Hill, A290 Whitstable
Road, and vice versa.
SAXON SHORE HALF MARATHON (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
To allow the Saxon Shore Half Marathon to take place Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily
prohibit through traffic on part of Beach Walk and Tower Hill from 22nd May 2022 at 09:45, with estimated completion by 22nd May 2022 at 14:00.
Beach Walk will be closed for its entire length, between 10:30 hours and approximately 14:00 hours, and reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
Tower Hill will be closed for its entire length, between 9:45 hours and approximately 14:00 hours, and reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tankerton Road.
ST PETER’S LANE, CANTERBURY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting
through traffic on part of St Peter’s Lane, Canterbury, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at its junction with Westgate Hall Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
No diversion route available, but access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
THORNDEN WOOD ROAD, HERNE BAY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Thornden Wood Road, Herne Bay, on
or after 27th May 2022 for up to 5 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from its junction with Greenhill Road, for a distance approximately 90 metres in a North West direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Thornden Wood Road, Owls Hatch Road, Bullockstone Road, Greenhill Road, and vice versa.
YORK ROAD, CANTERBURY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022
To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of York Road, Canterbury, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed. The one-way Order will be suspended to allow access.
The road will be closed outside number 1B, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A28 Wincheap, Victoria Road, St Mildreds Place, Martyrs’ Field Road, and vice
versa.

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act: The effect of the Order will be to reduce the existing speed limit to 30mph on the following length of roads in Littlebourne, Canterbury:
