A28 CANTERBURY ROAD, KENNINGTON. (SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE & CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow utility repairs and maintenanc­e works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporaril­y suspend the bus lane and cycle lane on part of A28 Canterbury Road, Kennington, between number 105 and the Holiday Inn Hotel.

The suspension­s are planned between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours from 8th August 2022, with estimated

completion by 9th August 2022.

B2067 RUCKINGE ROAD, BILSINGTON. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of utility repairs and maintenanc­e works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of B2067 Ruckinge Road, Bilsington, on or after 28th July 2022 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between The Beehive and The Pastures, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

ASHFORD ROAD, KINGSNORTH. (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order for traffic on part of Ashford Road, Kingsnorth to be restricted to 20mph, between Innellan and the Depot.

The speed restrictio­n is planned on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 40 days or until the works have been completed.

BELL LANE, SMARDEN. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of utility connection works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Bell Lane, Smarden, on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Lewd Lane and The Oranges, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

BELMONT ROAD, KENNINGTON. (PROHIBITIO­N OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow the delivery of portacabin­s to Phoenix Community Primary School, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g parking on Belmont Road, Kennington, on or after 10th August

2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours.

Parking will be prohibited on Belmont Road,

Kennington, for the entire length.

CHURCH LANE, HAMSTREET. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of undergroun­d cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on Church Lane, Hamstreet, on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 4 days, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

There will be no alternativ­e route but access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

FRENSHAM ROAD, ROLVENDEN. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of drainage works for a new developmen­t, Kent County Council intends to make an Order

prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Frensham Road, Rolvenden, on or after 8th August 2022 for up to 10 week days or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed in the vicinity of Kingsgate Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Maytham Road, Winser Road, Frensham Road and vice versa.

GREEN HILL LANE, EGERTON. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of pole replacemen­t works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Green Hill Lane, Egerton, on or after 10th August 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Fairmount and Munday Bois Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Green Hill Lane, Mundy Bois

HINXHILL ROAD, BROOK. (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow the safe occupation of new build homes, Kent County Council intends to make an Order for traffic on part of Hinxhill Road, Brook to be restricted to 30mph, between The Street and approximat­ely 100 metres

East of the William Harvey Hospital emergency vehicle access.

The speed restrictio­n is planned on or after 10th August 2022 until 31st January 2023.

KINGSMILL DOWN, HASTINGLEI­GH. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on Kingsmill Down, Hastinglei­gh, on or after 29th July 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

Because of new electrical connection works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Magpie Hall Road, Kingsnorth, on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Tally Ho Road and Long Length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of pole replacemen­t works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Smarden Road, Pluckley, on or after 10th August 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

Because of expansion joint replacemen­t works on the bridge over the M20, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Station Road, Smeeth, on or after 8th August 2022 for up to 4 nights, between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Merton and The Gate House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of utility repairs and maintenanc­e works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Wye Road, Boughton Aluph, on or after 8th August 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

CANTERBURY AREA

BREDLANDS LANE, STURRY & BUSHY HILL ROAD, WESTBERE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Bredlands Lane, Sturry & Bushy Hill

Road, Westbere, on or after 8th August 2022 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed at their junctions with each other, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

For the closure at Bredlands Lane the alternativ­e route for any through traffic is via A28 Island Road, A28 Staines Hill, Babs Oak Hill, Hoath Road, Bredlands Lane and vice versa.

For the closure at Bushy Hill Road the alternativ­e route for any through traffic is via A28 Island Road, A28 Staines Hill, Westbere Lane, Bushy Hill Road and vice versa.

BURSTED HILL, BISHOPSBOU­RNE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow drainage works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Bursted Hill, Bishopsbou­rne, on or after 29th July 2022 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from its junction with Pett Bottom Road, for a distance approximat­ely 50 metres in a Westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Pett Bottom Road, Broxhall

CORNWALLIS CIRCLE, WHITSTABLE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Cornwallis Circle, Whitstable, on or

after 8th August 2022 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 85, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Shaftesbur­y Road, Nelson Road and Cornwallis Circle.

HACKINGTON ROAD, TYLER HILL (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow gas mains replacemen­t works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Hackington Road, Tyler Hill, from 19:00 hours on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 38 days, or until the works have been completed.

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County

Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Ham Shades Lane, Whitstable, on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed between the junctions of Oakwood Drive and Nacholt Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Ham Shades Lane, Church Street, A2990 Thanet Way, Foxgrove Road, and vice

versa.

MILLSTROOD ROAD, WHITSTABLE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF NO U-TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

Because of junction improvemen­t works on the approaches to the roundabout on the A2990 Thanet Way, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on sections of Millstrood Road, Whitstable, in 3 phases, as outlined below:

Phase 1

24/7 closures are planned from Monday 25th July 2022 for up to 2 weeks. Millstrood Road (north of the A2990 Thanet Way) will be closed to Eastbound traffic only from the junction with the A2990 Thanet Way up to the boundary of number 141. Westbound traffic will not be

affected.

The alternativ­e route is via A2990 Thanet Way, Church Street, Castle Road, The Bridge Approach, Old Bridge Road and Millstrood Road.

Phase 2

Overnight closures are planned from Monday 8th August 2022 for up to 6 nights from 19:00 hours through until 05:00 hours.

Millstrood Road (north of the A2990 Thanet Way) will be closed in both directions from the junction with the A2990 Thanet Way up to the boundary of number 141. The alternativ­e route is via Millstrood Road, Old Bridge Road, The Bridge Approach, Castle Road and Church Street, A2990 Thanet Way and vice versa.

Phase 3

Overnight closures are planned for Sunday 14th August 2022 from 17:00 hours through until 05:00 hours and then up to 6 further weekday and Saturday nights from

22:00 hours through until 05:00 hours each night. Millstrood Road (south of the A2990 Thanet Way) will be closed in both directions from the junction with the A2990 Thanet Way up to the junction with Olympia Way.

The alternativ­e route is via Millstrood Road, South Street, Virginia Road, Grasmere Road and Clover Rise to the A2990 Thanet Way.

Traffic entering and leaving Olympia Way will be managed on site when surfacing works take place across that junction.

The permanent traffic regulation Order that bans

U-turn movements on Millstrood Road (South) will be suspended during the nights only when works take place to allow for traffic exiting the Tesco superstore to follow the signed diversion route.

OUT ELMSTEAD LANE, BARHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on Out Elmstead Lane, Barham, on or after 8th August 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for any Eastbound traffic is via Valley Road, Black Robin Lane, Bonny Bush Hill, Coldharbou­r Lane, A2 Bourne Park Slip Eastbound On, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound Off, B2046 Box Iron Road, A260 Old Dover Road and A2 Dover Road.

The alternativ­e route for any Westbound traffic is via A2 Dover Road, A2 Bonnybush Slip Westbound Off, Bonny Bush Hill, Black Robin Lane and Valley Road.

RECULVER ROAD & BARNES WAY, HERNE BAY (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Reculver Road and Barnes Way, Herne Bay,

on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed. Access will be maintained

for the residents of Wallis Court when it is safe to do so. Reculver Road will be closed at its junction with Barnes Way, for a distance approximat­ely 95 metres in a Westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Barnes Way will be closed at its junction with Reculver Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Reculver Road, Mickleburg­h Hill, Margate Road, Margate Road Interchang­e, Margate Road, Heart In Hand Road, Sweechbrid­ge Road and vice versa.

RICHDORE ROAD, WALTHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow cable installati­on works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g

through traffic on part of Richdore Road, Waltham, on or after 9th August 2022 for up to 1 day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 25, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Richdore Road, Anvil Green Road, Kake Street and vice versa.

ST PETER’S ROAD, WHITSTABLE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow pole replacemen­t works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of St Peter’s Road, Whitstable, on or after 10th August 2022 for up to 3 days between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the side of number 23 Regent Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for any Northbound traffic is via Regent Street, Acton Road, Albert Street and St Peter’s
