Painters Forstal Road, Ospringe

Painters Forstal Road will be closed from 25th July 2022, with estimated completion by 5th September 2022.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Eastling Road and Water Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Water Lane, London Road, Brogdale Road, Eastling Road and Scotts Lane.

Water Lane, Ospringe

Water Lane will be closed from 15th August 2022, with

estimated completion by 9th September 2022.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Forstal Road and Abbots Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via London Road, Brogdale Road, Eastling Road and Scotts Lane.

Hanslett Lane, Ospringe

Hanslett Lane will be closed from 15th August 2022, with estimated completion by 9th September 2022. The road will be closed from the junction with Water Lane to outside number 2 Broomhill Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Scotts Lane, Eastling Road and Painters Forstal Road.

VARIOUS ROADS, SITTINGBOU­RNE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow works to be carried out to install speed cushions, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on parts of Tonge Road, Sittingbou­rne, on or after 25th July 2022, with estimated completion by 28th August 2022, or until the works have been completed.

The works will be carried out in phases, as detailed below.

Phase 1

Tonge Road, sittingbou­rne will be closed from 25th July

2022, with estimated completion by 28th August 2022 (excluding weekend working).

The road will be closed at the junction with Church Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling eastbound is via Tonge Road (along one-way route), Murston Road,

A2 Canterbury Road, St Michaels Road, B2005 Eurolink Way, Castle Road and Dolphin Road.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling westbound is via Dolphin Road, Castle Road, Eurolink Way, Crown Quay Lane, A2 Canterbury Road, Murston Road / Hempstead Lane, Church Road, Lomas Road and Tonge Road.

Phase 2

Tonge Road, Sittingbou­rne will be closed from 27th July 2022 for up to 10 days (excluding weekend working). The road will be closed at the junction with All Saints Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling eastbound is via Tonge Road (along one-way route), Murston Road, A2 Canterbury Road, Hempstead Lane, Church Road, Lomas Road and Tonge Road.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling westbound is via Church Road, Hempstead Lane, A2 Fox Hill, Canterbury Road, Murston Road and Tonge Road.

Phase 3

Tonge Road, Sittingbou­rne will be closed from 3rd August 2022 for up to 7 days (excluding weekend working).

The road will be closed at the junction with Church Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling eastbound is via Tonge Road (along one-way route), Murston Road, A2 Canterbury Road, St Michaels Road, B2005 Eurolink Way, Castle Road and Dolphin Road.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling westbound is via Dolphin Road, Castle Road, Eurolink Way, Crown Quay Lane, A2 Canterbury Road, Murston Road / Hempstead Lane, Church Road, Lomas Road and Tonge Road.

Phase 4

Tonge Road, Sittingbou­rne will be closed from 10th August 2022 for up to 7 days (excluding weekend working).

The road will be closed at the junction with Oak Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling eastbound is via Tonge Road (along one-way route), Murston Road, A2 Canterbury Road, Hempstead Lane, Church Road, Lomas Road and Tonge Road.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling westbound is via Church Road, Hempstead Lane, A2 Fox Hill,

Canterbury Road, Murston Road and Tonge Road.

The alternativ­e route for local traffic is via Broom Road, Oak Road, Broom Road, Portland Avenue and Tonge

Road.

Phase 5

Tonge Road, Sittingbou­rne will be closed from 17th

August 2022 for up to 7 days (excluding weekend working).

The road will be closed at the junction with Portland Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling eastbound is via Tonge Road (along one-way route), Murston Road, A2 Canterbury Road, Hempstead Lane, Church Road, Lomas Road and Tonge Road.

The alternativ­e route for traffic travelling westbound is via Church Road, Hempstead Lane, A2 Fox Hill, Canterbury Road, Murston Road and Tonge Road.

The alternativ­e route for local traffic is via Broom Road, Oak Road, Broom Road, Portland Avenue and Tonge

Road.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA A20 LONDON ROAD, AYLESFORD (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow works to be carried out to install a rising main, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of A20 London Road, Aylesford, on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 42 days or until the works have been completed.

A westbound bus lane closure will be in place on A20 London Road near the junction with London Road East for 275 metres west, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

It will be necessary to temporaril­y suspend the right turn Order on Culpeper Close, prohibitin­g traffic from turning right into the Royal British Legion Village.

B245 LONDON ROAD, TONBRIDGE (PROHIBITIO­N OF CYCLISTS) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of B245 London Road, Tonbridge, on or after 25th July 2022 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside number 95 to the junction with High Hilden Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternativ­e route for this cycle lane. However, cyclists will need to dis-mount when instructed by signs on site.

ALDON LANE, ADDINGTON & OFFHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Aldon Lane, Addington and Offham, on or after 11th August 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with A20 London Road and Teston Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Teston Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.

ALLENS LANE, PLAXTOL (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Allens Lane, Plaxtol, on or after 10th August 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Brook Lane and Old Soar Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Brook Lane, Long Mill Lane, The Hurst, Old Soar Road

ASHES LANE, HADLOW (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow replacemen­t works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Ashes Lane, Hadlow, on or after 10th August 2022 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the land adjacent

To allow pole replacemen­t works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Basted Lane, Crouch on or after 8th August 2022 for up to 3 days between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Quekes, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow pole replacemen­t works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Bracken Walk, Tonbridge, on or after 11th August 2022 for up to 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

To allow fire damage repair works to be carried out on The Chequers Inn, Kent County Council has made an

Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of High Street, Aylesford, on or after 22nd July 2022, with estimated completion by 12th September 2022, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of The Chequers Inn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The 7.5 tonne weight restrictio­n Order on Rochester Road will be temporaril­y suspended, between the junctions with High Street and Pratling Street, to allow for diverted traffic.
