Linton have a field day!

Kent League new boys Linton Park dismissed former Premier Division champions Gore Court for just 13 on an extraordin­ary afternoon.

Opening bowlers Alex Keeler (6-5) and Anthony Karassello­s (3-7) ripped through the Court card which included eight ducks, with the visitors all out in 11 overs.

Linton needed only 15 balls to complete a 10-wicket win.

The Mote lost to Whitstable by 66 runs in the Championsh­ip. There were two wickets apiece for Matt Luksich, Jan Mohammad Maruf, Tom Harvey and Phil Apps as Whitstable closed on 232-9. Harvey made 51 from 88 balls opening the reply but The Mote were all out for 170 in the final over.

Clarry McCague’s half-century proved in vain as Leeds & Broomfield lost to Bromley Common by seven wickets in Division 1.

Opener McCague hit 51 off 99 balls, with six boundaries, in Leeds’ total of 197-8.

Phil Semmens took a couple of wickets but Bromley eased to victory with almost 12 overs in hand.

Staplehurs­t’s Division 3 game at Cowdrey was tied.

Captain Sam McConnel (44) top-scored in the visitors’ 122. Nathan Smith took 5-24 while George Perry (2-20) claimed the final wicket as the scores ended level.

Offham edged Leeds & Broomfield­s 2nds by one wicket in Division 6 Hurricane.

Daniel Blakeburn (2-28) was the pick of the bowlers as Leeds were held to 145-8.

Josiah Bongers (57) played the key knock in Offham’s reply, while Saurav Parmer took 3-22. Addington Village were sixwicket winners over Broadstair­s 2nds in the same division.

James Miller (5-11) did the damage while Asanka Najith and Matthew Webb took 2-8 as Broadstair­s were out for 48. Opener Alex Dimmick hit an unbeaten 23 in reply.

The Mote 2nds were bowled out for 112 in a 10-wicket defeat by Whitstable 2nds in Division 5 Hurricane.

While no play was possible in the 1sts’ game against Gravesend, Kings Hill 2nds were four-wicket winners over BOCA in Division 7 Spitfire. Hasham Khan (3-18) impressed as BOCA were bowled out for 120 before opener Alex Richards (27) set up the chase.

Offham 2nds lost to Harvel 2nds by 62 runs in Division 8 Knott.

Charlie Flint (1-22) proved economical in his nine overs as Harvel posted 232-3.

Opener Gary Flint hit 61 off 81 balls but Offham were held to 170-8.

Craig Sands made an unbeaten 72 as Linton Park 2nds beat Gore Court 2nds by 190 runs in Division 9 Knott.

Sands led Linton to 241-5 before figures of 4-13 from Matthew Carter saw Court dismissed for 51.

Addington Village 2nds lost to Tenterden 2nds by 90 runs in Division 10 Knott.

Neal Watts and Oliver Watts claimed two wickets apiece as Tenterden reached 234-5. Captain Ryan Lucas hit 62 opening the reply but Addington finished well short on 144-9.

Staplehurs­t 2nds’ Division 8 Knott game against Frindsbury 2nds was abandoned without play.
