Super furry Gruff goes solo
Mercury nominated Welsh singer-songwriter Gruff Rhys will be playing from his acclaimed new solo album, Babelsberg, when he appears in the county this weekend. With a career spanning 20 years, he’s had hit albums with both the Super Furry Animals and on his own. Something of a cult icon, in Babelsberg he documents troubling times with humour, grace and an addictive melody. Gruff visits Folkestone Quarterhouse on Saturday, November 10. Doors will open at 7pm with the first band on stage at 8pm. Tickets are priced at £18 in advance and £22 on the door. Over 14s welcome, but under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
