Choirs mark centenary

There will be a massed concert of remembranc­e to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War by Maidstone Wind Symphony and Maidstone Choral Union when they will be joined by school and adult choirs to perform Karl Jenkins’ famous Mass for Peace, The Armed Man, on Saturday, 10 November. Trumpeter and former BBC Young Musician of the Year finalist Matilda Lloyd, right, will also perform the Last Post, and Peter Graham’s Meditation. There will be two pieces by Maidstone Choral Union’s music director Martin Hindmarsh - Bugles Sang and For the Fallen. The concert is at Mote Hall, Maidstone Leisure Centre on Saturday, November 10.
