A shot of this is sure to banish ‘man flu’

-

GREAT news for men (and their long suffering female, and in a few cases male, partners).

If you’re feeling like death warmed up having been struck down with a particularly vicious dose of man flu (what other kind of man flu is there?) then a new product, spotted by a member of the Nuts and Bolts team in the pharmacy section of the Sainsbury’s supermarket on Ashford’s Warren Retail Park, could be just what the doctor ordered.

It probably will not cure your man flu ... let’s face it, only a head transplant could do that ... but it might bring some relief. MANFLU HOT OR SHOT was created by Jonathan Evans who set up a company, in Warrington, to manufacture and sell the product.

It claims to be “the world’s most soothing hot drink for men”.

It’s lemon-lime and honey flavoured, currently retails for £1.99, and its ingredient include heaps of vitamin C, echinacea and zinc.

It can also be taken ‘on the go’ as a shot and the makers says it is: “For men of all shapes and sizes from professional sportsmen to fat Harry in the pub.”

They go on to say it is: “Best served ‘hand delivered’ in bed or on the sofa.”

So ladies, if you’re looking for something for the man in your life who has everything (on the germ front) then MANFLU HOT OR SHOT could be the perfect remedy.

It’s probably best served with a huge helping of female sympathy along the lines of: “Do you have to keep wiping your nose on your sleeve?; Can’t you put your tissues in the bin? Do you have to keep snorting like that? Are you going to lie sprawled out on the sofa all day?;

Can’t you cover your mouth when you cough?” AND, talking of things that men can drink to make them feel better ... apparently the iconic British pub tops the list of what most people would miss if they were emigrating from the UK (and who could blame anyone for wanting to emigrate given the appalling winter and spring we’ve just endured).

A poll undertaken by www. globalvisas.com revealed that 36% would long for British pubs the most.

British high street fashion came second in the survey (21%) with British tea taking third place (14%) pushing football - the ‘national sport’ - into fourth place (13%).

British TV and fish and chips jointly shared fifth place.

Now if there was a survey for the things we’d least miss if we had emigrated and were sitting on our sunbed, drinking a glass of wine while watching a yacht pull into Marbella harbour, then we reckon the good old British weather would come in at about 98%!
