Which school will strike it lucky with vouchers?

KM walk to school campaign gets backing from AMF Bowling

-

Seventeen Ashford borough primary schools are in the running to win bowling vouchers if they come top in a special walk to school challenge.

The KM Charity Team is working with the schools to encourage families to switch from the school run to green travel.

This week, AMF Bowling in Ashford joined the campaign by agreeing to provide free vouchers for pupils in four classes.

The classes that come top or are most improved with their figures for walking, cycling, using scooters or park and stride on Wednesday, June 24 will receive the bowling vouchers.

Simon Dolby, from the KM Charity Team, said: “Currently 17 Ashford schools use our green travel schemes and so are in the running to win.”

Charly Ward, centre manager at AMF Bowling, Ashford, said: “We are setting the schools of Ashford a walk to school challenge. We want all the schools using Walk on Wednesday, Active Bug and Green Footsteps on Wednesday, June 24.

“The four classes that are top or most improved for green travel will receive AMF Bowling vouchers. We are delighted to support the campaign and improve the health, wellbeing and road safety skills of local children.”
