John Hill produced the performanc­e of the day with 103 (17 fours) out of Stowting’s 172-9 but it all proved in vain as they lost by 30 runs at home to Selling (202-8) in Division 3. Wye (188-9) toppled second placed Addington Village (187-7) by one wicket. Steve Knighton’s 77 gave Wye a sound base but wickets tumbled later with four of the last six batsmen all making ducks. Matt Leclere (34 not out) carried his side to the brink, before Neil Prior hit the winning runs. John Brasier hit an unbeaten 86 as Pluckley (186-7) beat Linton Park (185-4), while Aldington (151) by 58 runs at Staplehurs­t (209-8). Consistent batting led Mersham Sports (210) to a 105-run win at Bearsted (105). Steve Wellard (78) and Ben Daking (72) shared an opening stand of 133 as Egerton (249-6) beat Holborough Anchorians (151) in Division 1 by 98 runs. Skipper Stuart Green hit 86 for Selsted (180-9) in their five wicket defeat at home to Bapchild. In Division 2, Gavin Hope (45) steered Great Chart (125-6) to a four-wicket win at Benenden. Chart pair Duncan Garrett (3-6) and William Ainsley (3-22) did the damage with the ball. Josh Marden (61) and Kieron Morphett (54) led the way as Elham Valley (209-8) won by 119 runs at Challock (90). Benjamin Bambridge took 4-3 in 18 balls. Will Berry hit 62 as Smarden (197-5) beat Woodchurch (116) by 81 runs, while Dymchurch (78) lost at home to Detling (157) by 79 runs. Mersham Sports (97) were beaten by 87 runs at Blue House (184-6) in Division 4. Steve Elderkin top scored with 43 as Charing (222-7) beat Little Chart (187-5) by 35 runs. Bilsington (71) lost at home to Hunton (72-2) by eight wickets in Division 5.
