Spa team strikes gold at health and beauty awards

The owner and staff of an Ash­ford spa are cel­e­brat­ing af­ter win­ning a top award.

Clare Sin­gle­ton and her team at the Gra­nary Spa in Great Chart were de­lighted to win the Kent Spa of the Year 2015 ti­tle at the Kent Health and Beauty Awards.

The awards cer­e­mony took place at the Great Danes Ho­tel in Maid­stone on Wed­nes­day June 10.

The spa is based in a con­verted Vic­to­rian Gra­nary.

The busi­ness be­gan life at Ash­ford’s Stour Leisure Cen­tre, where it was based for eight years, be­fore mov­ing to Great Chart in Septem­ber 2012.

Clare said: “I am so very proud of my won­der­ful team who work tire­lessly to en­sure that ev­ery client ex­pe­ri­ence is five star.

“We strive to de­liver this time and time again, by tak­ing noth- ing for granted, and putting all our en­ergy into each and ev­ery client.

“We started out with my­self and Sharleen Lind, our tal­ented spa man­ager, and have grown to a team of 13 within this very short time.

“Our guests con­tin­u­ally re­turn to the Gra­nary Spa be­cause t hey en­joy well trained and ded­i­cated ther­a­pists to­gether with a beau­ti­ful en­vi­ron­ment in which to re­lax.”

In 2014, Clare Sin­gle­ton was se­lected as Kent Busi­ness Woman of the Year.

She won the ac­co­lade at the Kent Women in Busi­ness awards cer­e­mony.

She had been nom­i­nated for her de­ter­mi­na­tion, busi­ness growth and con­sis­tent fo­cus on cus­tomer ser­vice, which has seen her cus­tomer base more than dou­ble since the spa moved to Great Chart.

The Gra­nary Spa is lo­cated in Worten Lane, part of the God­in­ton House Es­tate.
