Incredible Rose bags a seven-wicket haul

Dan Rose took an incredible 7-5 off nine overs for Aldington (45-2) as they won by eight wickets against Teston (41) in Division 3 of the Kent Village League.

Stowting (146-7) lost at Addington Village (147-1) by nine wickets and Pluckley (177-6) beat Bredgar (176-8) by four wickets.

Max Campbell’s 126 did not stop Wye (222-6) losing at Tyler Hill (224-3) by seven wickets.

Egerton lost at Meopham by 32 runs in their Division 1 match.

Mark Lewis Ranwell scored 61 for Meopham as they made a good total of 214 all out. This proved to be too much for Egerton as they could only reach 182-8. Selstead conceded to Harvel.

In Division 2, Brookland lost at home to Smarden by 10 wicket after being bowled out for 63 and Great Chart (131-1) beat Challock (127-6) by nine wickets.

Reuben Collingwoo­d’s 64 was not enough for Benenden as they lost at Leybourne by six wickets.

Benenden posted 176 all out and Leybourne made light work of their run chase. Woodchurch beat Worth by 44 runs after Mark Pain (75) and Matthew Barton (59) helped the home side to 258-9. In response, Worth could only reach 214-8.

Dymchurch conceded to Elham Valley.

Matt Fag scored 141 for Mersham Sports as they eased to an 82-run win over Charing in Division 4.

Fag helped Mersham to 268-8 and they then bowled Charing out for 186.

Little Chart lost to Harrietsha­m by 10 wickets and Saltwood beat Blue House by eight wickets.

Paul Webb top scored with 98 not out for Bilsington (218-1) as they beat Kingsnorth (217-4) by nine wickets in Division 5. Great Chart 2nds lost to Harbledown 2nds by 42 runs.

In Division 6, Rolvenden (206-5) beat Frittenden (203-6) by five wickets.
