Healthcare branch aims to create 100 more jobs

-

Newcross Healthcare has opened its third Kent branch, in Ashford.

The branch at 46 High Street joins established branches in Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells.

The Ashford opening also marked the 40th branch for the rapidly expanding nationwide business. The company has grown its workforce by 41% in the past year and says it expects to continue that growth throughout 2015 and 2016.

Newcross says the Ashford branch will mean a jobs boost of up to 100 healthcare assistants, nurses and support workers for the town.

Newcross says it provides high standard, personalised care through employees who are permanently employed, fully trained and have a genuine commitment to the role.

The company says it takes pride in the quality and stand- ard of care provided by its staff and applies robust recruitment procedures to ensure that only the highest-calibre individuals are employed.

Operations director Geoff White said: “As a company we are already committed to Kent as a region. The regeneration plan for the Ashford area is both an indication of the potential for growth in the district and an opportunity for new business and job creation.

“We are delighted to launch our 40th branch here and to be part of that success.”

Cllr Graham Galpin, Ashford Borough Council’s portfolio holder for business dynamics, said: “We welcome the news that Newcross Healthcare is opening its 40th branch in Ashford.

“I think it is indicative of the confidence many businesses have, not only in Ashford, but Ashford town centre.

Demand

“We wish the company every success here and welcome the projections for the jobs that may be created in that sector.”

Branch manager, Lahra Thwaite-Benn said: “The demand we’ve experienced for our services in the local area has been fantastic.

I am very much looking forward to recruiting our new healthcare and nursing team.”
