Digger blaze at recycling firm

Firefighters tackled a digger fire at a recycling business in Ashford on Wednesday last week. Crews were called to a business in Brunswick Road on the Cobbs Wood Industrial Estate at 2.50pm after reports the machine had caught alight. Two fire engines were sent. Witnesses reported seeing black smoke billowing from the area. Crews spent around 30 minutes at the scene. No one was injured. The fire is believed to have been caused by a fault with the machinery.
