Eyes on the skies in inflatable astrodome
Children got the chance to explore the solar system and the universe last week from the comfort of their school hall.
The pupils at Kennington Junior School in Upper Vicarage Road were visited by a team from the University of Kent who brought along the mobile astrodome.
It allows the children to follow in the footsteps of British astronaut Tim Peake and see the stars and planets projected on the inside of the dome.
Year 5 and Year 6 children enjoyed the cinematic experience as part of their lessons about space.
Another picture from this event in next week’s paper.
