Scorer’s men fight back to earn a point

Kennington came from 3-1 down to earn a Premier Division point in a 3-3 draw at Peckham Town on Saturday. The game was scheduled to be played at the Julie Rose Stadium but pitch problems caused the match to be switched to Southwark Park in south east London Ben Jordan scored twice with Tom Scorer getting the other goal. Manager Dan Scorer said: “Decisions have gone against us in the first two games. We should have had two stonewall penalties at Fleetdown the previous week. “We were 1-0 up on Saturday, then had a goal disallowed for offside but the video definitely proved it wasn’t and then they score with a goal that was yards offside. “It makes it difficult and frustrating but the boys dug in.” Lydd Town Reserves went down 4-3 at home to Staplehurst Monarchs in their first home game last Thursday. The first full programme of the new season in all three divisions takes place on Saturday.
