Scouts enjoy mall sleepover

Twenty-nine Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from the 7th Ashford Scout Group experienced a sleepover in Ashford’s County Square Shopping Centre.

The boys and girls – aged between six and 14 – were accompanied by 11 volunteers and the centre’s security team, and started the experience on Saturday, September 3, with a meal at Burger King. Costa provided breakfast on Sunday morning.

Assistant Beaver Scout leader Simon Slater-Cannon said: “The children all had a wonderful time and went home with smiles.

“They also all agree that the floor in County Square is very hard, and if they get another chance they will bring air beds!”
