Good causes share police auction cash
Three charities have been provided with a £500 boost from the Kent Police property fund.
The fund comes from the auction of unclaimed property and items seized in police operations.
Ashford Inspector Andrew Judd presented the cheques to Age UK Ashford, Ashford Vineyard Church and Ashford Street Pastors. Age UK Ashford will put the money towards the cost of an automated potato peeler. Ashford Vineyard Church will use the donation to help fund the upper floor of its new building on Cobbs Wood Industrial Estate for space for the charity’s youth work, and Ashford Street Pastors’ money will help pay for uniforms and training.
