It’s been one of Ashford’s most highly anticipated business launches of this year... and now the town’s new trampolining centre is opening to visitors.

Flip Out, on Henwood Industrial Estate, is set to open this weekend.

The Kentish Express can exclusively reveal the first pictures from inside the newly completed centre, which will open ahead of the school summer holidays.

The 28,000 sq ft former packaging factory is now barely recognisable, with enormous graffiti murals on the walls, and connecting trampolines as far as the eye can see.

The Ashford franchise centre boasts features including a dodgeball zone, stunt area, a ninja assault course and a bouncing basketball area.

The centre will be open from 9am until 10pm, seven days a week, featuring After Dark evenings on Fridays and Saturdays for over 14s, which will feature DJs and smoke machines.

At Tuesday’s exclusive preview, trained staff demonstrated their “flipping” skills but the rules of the centre are very clear – only jump to your own ability.

Ashford entrepreneurs Lisa and Steve Wootton have invested around £1.8 million in Flip Out.

Speaking ahead of its opening this week, Mr Wootton said: “We want to try and appeal to as a big a demographic as possible.

“We’re really excited. It’s been a long journey of two and half years. But we’re here now, and we’re really looking forward to getting people in to enjoy themselves.

“There’s not a lot going on in Ashford. It’s been growing as a town for many years but it seems that there’s many activities that haven’t kept up with the pace of the population.

“So obviously new activities like this for people to do are welcomed within Ashford.

“We’ve had a massive response on social media. A lot of people are really interested in what we’re doing and are eager to get in the doors.”

The arena will also be holding toddler mornings, fitness classes, special events for people with disabilities and offer bookings for adult and children’s parties.

Flip Out will open on Saturday at 9am.
