Lottery winner comes forward to claim £90k prize

- By Molly MilehamChappell

A winning lottery ticket bought in Ashford nearly a month ago has at last been claimed.

The winner of the prize worth £90,509.70 has now come forward to secure their windfall.

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, have announced the news after the numbers were initially selected in the EuroMillions draw on Friday, June 16.

It is the usual policy with National Lottery wins, that unless the winner of a major prize opts to take full publicity and signs an agreement, no further information can be released about their win by the company.

The owner of the winning ticket matched the five main numbers and one “lucky star” number in the draw. The winning EuroMillions numbers on that date were 15, 17, 38, 41, 42 and the lucky star numbers were 9 and 12.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.

“It would have been awful if the ticket holder had missed out on this substantial and life-enhancing amount of money.

“We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”

If no one comes forward with a winning ticket before a prize claim deadline, the prize money and generated i nterest go towards helping National Lottery-funded projects.
