Jordan bags five in win over rivals

Katie Jordan was the star-of-theshow with best ever figures of 5-8 as Mersham Sports 2nds beat Willesboro­ugh by 63 runs to swap places at the bottom of the 1B East.

The 18-year-old medium pace swing bowler’s eight-over spell included four maidens as Willesboro­ugh were dismissed for 103.

Bradlee Sharpe followed up his hundred the week before with 65 and Mark Gill made 34 in Sports’ total of 166, the hosts recovering from the loss of two early wickets.

Mersham Sports’ Premier Division struggles continued with a seven-wicket defeat against The Roebucks at Hayes.

Skipper Kyle McAllister hit 45 out of a total of 110, with only two other batsmen, Adam Loynds (20) and Dan Coulson (13), making double figures. Matt Fagg, Ashley Cook and Alan Stevens claimed the wickets in the home side’s 112-3.

James Burgess (74) and skipper Stuart Graham (71) hit a total of 22 fours as 2B East leaders Stowting (200-9) beat Herne Bay (153) by 47 runs. Graham’s knock took him past 1,800 runs in all cricket this season

Skipper Craig Mannering top scored with 31 as Boughton & Eastwell (108) lost by 64 runs at Littlebour­ne (172)

Ben Davis (86 not out) and Ryan Hall (66 not out) eased 1A East leaders Saltwood (201-1) to a ninewicket win at home to Wye (200-6). Alex Watson hit 59 for Wye. James Isles top scored with 55 as Kennington (122) lost by 70 runs at second-placed Deal Victoria & Barns Close (192).

Saminda Senapathi (78) and Henry Pelling-Smith (51) led the scoring for Tenterden 3rds (231-6) as they beat Ashford Town 3rds (173-8) by 58 runs.

Town’s Harry Stracey finished 77 not out), Luke Mangold took 3-30.

Boughton & Eastwell 2nds (57) suffered a 218-run defeat at home to Exiles & Stelling Minnis (275-7).
