Cult show presenter leads comedy threesome at club
A top comedian is to headline the next Comedy Club night at the Ashford International Hotel.
Bob Mills is one of three comics who will be looking for laughs at the Simone Weil Avenue venue on Friday, October 27.
He is best known for the latenight cult show In Bed with MeDinner, in which he commented on documentary video footage. He also hosted ITV’s daytime game show Win Lose or Draw, as well as LWT’s There’s Only One Brian Moore and Dial Midnight.
His writing career has also included the six-part comedydrama Northern Lights, an episode of Channel 4’s Shameless and the 2006 film Pierrepoint that starred Timothy Spall as Britain’s last hangman.
Host comedian for the evening is Ben Van Der Velde, who is also an actor, improviser and presenter.
Opening the show will be Micky Comedian Bob Mills P Kerr, whose act fuses together music, spoken word and comedy, with his tongue often planted firmly in his cheek.
He turned his hand to standup in 2013 and is rapidly becoming one to watch, proving to be a massive hit with audiences and bookers alike.
Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 9pm.
Tickets are £27 for the comedy and a two-course meal and £20 for the comedy only.
