Man fights for his life after crash
Crashes close route twice within an hour
A driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash.
The A2070 near Park Farm in Ashford was closed on Sunday after a silver VW Golf collided with a white Dacia Sandero and then a red Peugeot.
Emergency services and the air ambulance were called to the scene at 11.50am and the road was closed for several hours.
The driver of the VW Golf, a man in his 20s, was airlifted to the neurological unit at King’s College Hospital in London with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, a second motorist was treated by paramedics before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital.
In a separate incident, the A2070 was also closed on the dual carriageway southbound from junction 10 after a motorcyclist fell off his bike near the Barrey Road junction at 12.40pm on the same day.
The motorcyclist was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, and his injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
