Frozen and Muppets on screen for 50p

-

Festive fun is on offer for families in the town centre this Saturday, with two film favourites being screened by Revelation Ashford at bargain admission prices of just 50p each.

Both films are being shown at St Mary’s Church, courtesy of Love Ashford.

First is a Frozen sing-along starting at 1.15pm (doors open at 12.45pm).

Join Elsa, Anna and Olaf in the sing-along.

When Princess Elsa exposes her magic and traps her kingdom in perpetual winter, it takes brave sister Anna, with the help of mountaineer Kristoff, his reindeer Sven and a snowman called Olaf, to journey through treacherous conditions in order to reunite with her sister and find a way to break the spell. The film’s running time is 1 hour 49 minutes. Second is A Muppet Christmas Carol at 3.30pm (doors open at 3pm).

The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge.

Other Muppets, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle, weave in and out of the story, while Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases, past, present and future.

They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness. Or does he?

Running time is 1 hour 26 minutes.
