Club has number of reasons to celebrate

-

Tenterden Camera Club is celebrating its second anniversary.

The club was originally formed with participants of the hugely successful Tenterden 365 project, which ran throughout 2014.

But by becoming a more tradition camera club format, members concentrate on keeping it friendly while helping each other to further their skills and knowledge.

Each month the club has an outside speaker for one of the meetings and has occasional club outings, most recently photographing seals off the coast of Ramsgate.

The club is holding its first exhibition of members’ work, which will be held in St Mildreds Church during the Tenterden Christmas market weekend, running from today (Thursday) through to Sunday.

Each member has been asked to display their favourite pictures for the exhibition.

Also, in another first, the club has produced its own calendar for 2018 that features monthly pictures of the town, all taken by its members.

It will be on sale at the exhibition and also through to Christmas at Webbs Kitchen and Gift Shop at 45 High Street, the town hall, and the Kent & East Sussex Railway gift shop.

The calendar is priced at £10, with at least £3.50 going to local charities.

Tenterden Camera Club meets at the Zion Baptist Church in Tenterden High Street on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. New members are always welcome. For more in formation visit www. TenterdenCameraClub.co.uk
