Ashford Cavaliers beat AFC Ashford Athletic 5-4 to go through to the semi-finals.

Cavaliers led 5-2 at half-time. Two Steve Ward strikes set them on their way, while further goals from Frankie Comparetto, Dan Reynolds and Dan Cornell gave the home side breathing space at half-time.

First-half goals from Dale Horton and Kieran Lewis for Athletic were added to by Kris Melachrino and Steve Warren strikes after the break.

Joining Cavaliers in the semi-finals are Charing Sunday who won for the first time this season, beating Troggs 4-1 with strikes from Byron Price, Ben Larden, Matty Pearce and Richard Spicer. Ben Allen was Troggs’ scorer. for Matt Johnson to give Burton an early lead, before Richard Long won and converted a penalty.

Heathens pulled a goal back soon after through Radislav Davidov but James Ross slotted home to restore the visitors’ two-goal lead.

Ross scored with a stunning effort to make it 4-1 but the hosts pulled two goals back late on through Artsoms Andrejevs and Zana Hamdi.

Overnight leaders Ashstone Galacticos lost on the road for the second successive weekend as they were hit 9-2 by Lydd Grasshoppe­rs.
