Vic Reeves and ponies at the fair
Preparations are well under way for the Christmas fair being held in the Market Place in Charing tomorrow (Friday).
Starting at 5pm, the it is being opened by village residents Vic Reeves, his wife Nancy Sorrell and their twin daughters.
Bertie and Mac, two Shetland ponies, are standing in for Rudolph as they will be escorting Father Christmas and Mrs Christmas.
The shops in Charing high street will stay open late and there will also be a children’s roundabout, a grand draw, a tombola and plenty of hot food and drinks on offer.
Christmas songs and carols will be performed by Faversham Mission Brass and children are encouraged to leave their letters for Father Christmas at the Post Office as they walk past.
The fair will finish at 8pm.
