Hol­ly­wood su­per­star Johnny Depp has been spot­ted trav­el­ling on a Eu­rostar train from Paris to Ash­ford.

Wear­ing sun­glasses and checked shirt, the A-lis­ter posed for pho­to­graphs on Sun­day and signed a cham­pagne box for star-struck pas­sen­gers.

Depp - who got off the train at Ash­ford In­ter­na­tional had trav­elled to Paris over the Christ­mas pe­riod to visit chil­dren at the Curie In­sti­tute Hos­pi­tal and re­search cen­tre. Dressed as his fa­mous char­ac­ter Cap­tain Jack Spar­row from Pi­rates of the Caribbean, the 55-year-old paid a sur­prise visit to chil­dren who spent Christ­mas in hos­pi­tal last Thurs­day.

Depp is good friends with

Kent car­toon­ist Ralph Stead­man, who lives in Loose near Maid­stone.

The pair be­came friends af­ter Stead­man il­lus­trated the Fear and Loathing in Las Ve­gas novel, which Depp later starred in.
