Arrests after man in his 20s ‘stabbed in the street’
Three people have been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed in the street.
The attack happened at about 1.30am in Canterbury Road in Willesborough after a fight in the road which is understood to have spilled out from a New Year’s party.
Police taped off the area on Tuesday morning and officers could be seen with evidence bags at the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman said the victim - who was in his 20s - suffered multiple stab wounds and remains in a stable condition in hospital.
The attack happened in Canterbury Road close to the junction with Mead Road.
The air ambulance was called at 2am, but the victim was taken to the King’s College Hospital in London by road.
A 21-year-old woman and a man aged 25 from Ashford were arrested in connection with the assault on Tuesday.
They have subsequently been released pending further investigation.
A man aged 22 - who is also from the town - was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) and remains in police custody.
