Nothing wrong with bridge colour

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - POINTS OF VIEW -

As a professional landscape architect dealing with colour in the countryside, I applaud the beautiful fresh green of the new M20 footbridge - so much better than the awful ‘landscape green’ that councils love to use.

To me it signifies spring and new beginnings. If it was in France they would applaud it - so glad it isn’t dark, dreary and municipal - so hopefully councillor Paul Bartlett doesn’t make them change it.

Liz Freemont,

Appledore

I write with utter amazement really, concerning the article on the new M20 bridge (December 20), I cannot believe it was branded “rather green”.

The bridge fits in well with the natural colours around it.

Yes, why not paint it some bright horrible colour and waste even more money - because that’s what councils do. Eileen Wilson,

Bethersden
