Outstanding score for school club

-

A children’s after school club has received an ‘outstanding’ rating in an inspection.

Ofsted visited the after school club at the Furley Park Primary Academy in November.

The club in Bridgefield is operated by Kent Play Clubs.

The service was reviewed across a number of areas, including in leadership and manage- ment, teaching and assessment and personal development, behaviour and welfare.

Ofsted found the club, which cares for children between the ages of four and 12 years old, to be ‘outstanding’ across all areas.

The standard of care delivered by the “dedicated” management team and staff was praised.

The education watchdog said staff support the children’s wellbeing “extremely well” and offer “limitless support and encouragement”.

Staff were also found to maintain a close relationship with the school that the children attend.

Earlier this year, the Downs View and Kennington after school club was also rated ‘outstanding’.
