Argument for hall is silly

Ashford Borough Council is to be complimented on deciding not to proceed with converting the old cinema / bingo building to a theatre. A good, common sense decision. There is much one can say about the letters in the Kentish Express from those in support of a theatre but all I will say is, sorry that one has a different view and for expressing that view. Strange that it was suggested that Ashford could only sustain a 250-seater theatre. It makes the argument for turning this old building into a large theatre rather silly. There is not much more one can say on this subject and one looks forward to when plans are put forward for a new theatre. P. .J Rosson James Street, Ashford
